Books and Movies

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Let’s start a discussion about some of the recent movies that have been made from books.

I saw The Seeker recently and was impressed with the screenplay. They missed some of the content of the original Dark is Rising books, by Susan Cooper, which would have added some background, but overall I enjoyed it… especially the humor between the brothers and Will’s caring role of his sister. The action and cinematography in the scenes between the old Light guard and the Dark were great. I also have a soft spot for time-travel movies. Wouldn’t it be cool to have the power to travel through time? :-)

So, what did you think of The Seeker or other movies based on books you might have seen lately? What book would you love to see made into a movie???
