2012 Children’s Choice Book Awards Announced!

Monday, May 28th, 2012

The winners of the 2012 Children’s Choice Book Awards were announced at a star-studded gala earlier this month hosted by popular “guy” author Jarrett Krosoczka, but thanks to Guys Read guru Jon Scieszka, Jarrett almost didn’t make it to the ceremony.  Watch the hilarious video below!

Brian Selznick won the nod for Best Illustrator for his fabulous book Wonderstruck, Grand Rapids’ own Gary Schmidt was honored for Okay for Now, and Jeff Kinney of Diary of a Wimpy Kid fame won Author of the Year for his latest book, Cabin Fever (no surprise there, right?)  But there were LOTS of other Guy Friendly titles that were honored as well.  Want to take a look?  Click here!
