Just wanted to let you know I’m another dissatisfied customer with the new ebook format. When I look for books I want to be able to see the author & title, which is unavailable with the new format. I don’t select a book based upon it’s cover, I can read! The format is a more time consuming and irritating to use, even making allowances for a learning curve. The column on the left side of the web site should be reduced so there’s more room for the “pictures” of books enabling more space for titles & authors. Just don’t put more books on same line. Also more space should be allowed in the lines between books for readability. With a smaller screen, 17″laptop, when I increase the font size, the screen becomes dysfunctional. Too bad Overdrive doesn’t know the importance of “USER FRIENDLY”.

Not a User friendly site. Guess I’ll get my books elsewhere because overdrive won’t recognize my card number and wants a pin number. I haven’t used a pin number since enrolling. I have a book showing it’s checked out but I can’t get it! DON’T LIKE THIS AT ALL.

Sorry, not impressed. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Filters don’t appear to work. Cannot find anything I’m looking for. Sure wish we could go back.

Nancy — We’re checking to see if OverDrive can make the text of the titles and authors darker so it’s easier to read. If you have any problems searching for particular books, feel free to call our Patron Services Department at 616-784-2007 and a staff member can assist you.

Tammy — If you’re looking at a list of books, check the icon in the upper-right corner of the cover image. If the book or headphone icon is DARK gray, that means that copies are immediately available. If it is LIGHT gray, that means that all copies are currently checked out. To see exactly how many copies the library has, you do need to click on the cover or title to go to the full details page for that particular book.

I do not like the format of the new site. When looking at books on the previous website it was clearly listed how many copies the library had and how many were available. The book covers are pretty but do not give enough information at first glance. I don’t feel it is very user friendly.

I DO NOT LIKE THIS NEW WEB SITE AT ALL. AS A MATTER OF FACT, I HATE IT. IT STINKS. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ONE BOOK I HAVE SEARCHED FOR. I CANNOT READ THE TITLES ON THE BOOKS THAT SHOW UP NOR THE NAMES OF THE AUTHORS. IT WAS MUCH EASIER THE OTHER WAY. I HOPE YOU CHANGE BACK SOON SO THAT I CAN CONTINUE TO CHECK-OUT BOOKS.
