I like the ability of OverDrive and NetLibrary to transfer audiobooks from my computer to my own MP3 player without having to borrow a physical device. But the Microsoft DRM scheme used with them is confusing and causes the files only to be playable on a limited amount of devices, so this is a nice step to expand digital audiobook distribution. It would be nice to have the catalog available both ways, though. Were devices that could load any audiobook from a catalog looked into? Seems it would be nicer to just have several of these available to borrow at each library and download titles as requested.
