Best of 2009

Monday, December 14th, 2009

One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to check out the Best of Year lists that start popping up.  Time Magazine has the 50 Best Websites of the year as well as the 25 Best Blogs of 2009.  The New York Times puts out the 100 Notable Books of 2009 listPublishers Weekly also has a list for the Best Books.  Don’t forget the teenager with ALA/YALSA’s Top Ten Teen Books from 2009Spin puts out the 40 Best Albums of 2009.  And don’t forget movies with the Ten Best Movies of 2009 from VideoHound.  Last but not least is Parenting with the Best Toys of the Year.

Now if you are feeling guilty about checking out these lists instead of doing your Christmas shopping, stop it right now!  Think of it as research.  Do you have someone who loves reading?  Well, look at the book lists to see what might work for them.  Someone else loves music?  No problem!  There seems to be a list for pretty much everything, so if you have a favorite list that I missed, please let everyone know about it by adding it to the comments.
