Kent District Library - Information. Ideas. Excitement!

As the release date for the 6th Harry Potter movie approaches, the anticipation of the fans only goes to show that the Harry Potter Fandom lives on!  A couple books have been published in the last year from two of the biggest HP fan websites.  These are both great books to make your wait for movie number 7 as enjoyable as possible.

Harry, A History by Melissa Anelli, founder of the Leaky Cauldron website, is truly a fascinating look at the HP fandom, including the founding of her website and how Harry Potter has changed her life.  It is a trip down memory lane for anyone who has anticipated the release of the books and movies. Everything is covered, including meeting J.K. Rowling and the creation of Wizard Rock.

Harry Potter Should Have Died by Emerson Spartz & Ben Schoen, who are from the Mugglenet website (founded by Emerson Spartz), is actually a collection of essays debating different viewpoints on certain controversial issues as well as some fun ones.  This book just goes to show that not everything was answered in the final book.
