Titanic Teen Fiction

With the 100th anniversary of the Titanic tragedy looming, there is no shortage of books featuring this historic event.  The Watch That Ends the Night by Allan Wolf gives voice to 24 different characters.  Some of the characters are well-known, like Molly Brown, while others are purely fiction.  The stories represent a wide range of classes so the reader gets a look at what was happening all over the ship.

Claudia Gray‘s book Fateful focuses on Tess, a maid for a family traveling on the maiden voyage of the Titanic.  Tess falls in love with Alec, a handsome young man with a secretive past.  This book has a paranormal element, so don’t expect a traditional story!

For some time-travel fun, check out The Time-Traveling Fashionista by Bianca Turetsky.  Louise receives a mysterious invitation to a vintage fashion sale at the mall and ends up on the trip of her dreams aboard a luxurious cruise ship, 100 years in the past!
