Hi everyone,
There is no age requirement to participate in the Lego Family Block Party programs. As long as you feel your child is mature enough to play with Legos (the small parts could be a choking hazard to very young children), they are welcome.
The Lego Contest taking place at the Walker Branch on January 25 is the only Lego program with an age requirement. This contest is intended for school-age children, which we generally consider to be children ages 6 and up.
In regards to hosting a Lego program at our Kentwood Branch, I will pass along this information to staff at that branch. You are also welcome to inform the youth librarians at the Kentwood Branch that you would be interested in having a program like this at that location. Perhaps one could be scheduled sometime in the future!
Thank you! Happy Friday!
Denise (KDL Staff)
