Celebrate Earth Day!

April 22nd is Earth Day and we invite you to celebrate with KDL! Created to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment, Earth Day is a time for us to assess the work still needed to protect the natural gifts of our planet.

There are many simple things you can do to observe Earth Day — avoid the car, volunteer, pick up litter, conserve water. If you’d like to learn more ways to “go green,” then check out our Living Green in West Michigan resource guide. From area food co-ops to local bike path routes, you’re sure to find something useful.

And don’t forget one of the best ways to celebrate Earth Day: visit your library! Recycling things like books, movies and music for everyone to enjoy is something we’ve been doing for a long time. I suppose you could call us one of the original recyclers!
