EGR Parkapalooza Series

Families can enjoy a whole summer of fun at the East Grand Rapids Branch’s Parkapalooza series, sponsored by the Friends of the East Grand Rapids Library. Fun programs for kids of all ages will be held on Thursday afternoons from 2:00-4:00 PM at John Collins Park. 


Parkapalooza: Art Attack
Create sculptures, paintings, prints, and collages to take home with you, and help us decorate a banner to hang up in the library. And at 3:00 PM, watch the Kent District Library Puppeteers present “Mr. Biddle’s Noisy Night,” an interactive puppet play, and other participation activities.

Parkapalooza: Book Character Extravaganza
Dress up as your favorite book character for this fun event! Enjoy crafts, and meet many of your favorite book characters, including Clifford and Biscuit!

Parkapalooza: Kids and Teens Craft Sale
Find amazing pieces of art, wonderful crafts and the most creative kids in town! Kids and teens: if you are interested in having a booth at the sale, stop by your library branch for an application.

Parkapalooza: Katie L.’s Birthday Bash
Come and celebrate Katie L.’s birthday with us! Games, crafts, and cake, of course! Jump on a moon bouncer or pet a pony for added fun!

Parkapalooza: Splish! Splash! Water Party
Splish! Splash! Join us for a whole lot of wet and wild fun! Wear your bathing suit or clothes that can get wet for this outdoor party that’s sure to be FUN! Don’t forget your sunscreen!  Alternate Rain Location: EGR Library for a little non-water fun.
