New OverDrive App for NOOK
Great news for NOOK owners — Barnes & Noble has approved adding the OverDrive Media Console app to their selection of NOOK Apps! This means that those of you with a NOOK Color, NOOK Tablet, or the brand-new NOOK HD or NOOK HD+ can now checkout and download FREE eBooks and eAudiobooks from KDL directly from your device, without first having to download them to Adobe Digital Editions on a computer and transfer them with a USB cable.
To install the free OverDrive app on your NOOK device, just search the Barnes & Noble NOOK app shop for “OverDrive” and select “OverDrive Media Console.” Once the app is installed, use the “Get Books” option to find Kent District Library’s eBook collection and select a title to checkout and download. Your eBook or eAudiobook will open directly in the app and you’ll be enjoying your selection in no time!
The free OverDrive Media Console app is available for other devices as well, including iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7. Just search your device’s app store or download directly from http://overdrive.com/software/omc.
Happy Downloading!

Hi Laura,
If you have a NOOK 1st Edition, you can use the free Adobe Digital Editions software to download an eBook to your computer and then transfer it to your Nook. Here are some step-by-step instructions:
• How to download and install Adobe Digital Editions software
• How to check out, download, and transfer eBooks to your NOOK Simple Touch or 1st Edition
If you have any questions, just give us a call at 616-784-2007 and a staff member can assist you.
Thanks!
Sheri
