The staff of the Jordan Daily News, which tracked a serial killer in local author Sue Merrell’s fictional mystery thriller, Great News Town, returns in One Shoe Off to investigate a more elusive foe: government corruption. But this time City Editor Josie Braun gets assistance from the spirit of an editor who disappeared 30 years earlier.
