Nominate Your Favorite Librarian
Has a KDL librarian made a real difference in your life? Have they gone above and beyond the call of duty to provide top-notch customer service and excellent programming? Show your appreciation by nominating them for a meaningful award.
Nominations for the national Carnegie Corporation of New York/New York Times I Love My Librarian Award will be accepted through September 20 and can be submitted at www.ilovelibraries.org/ilovemylibrarian.
The award invites library users nationwide to nominate librarians in public libraries, as well as those in school and academic libraries. It is an opportunity for patrons to share how librarians improve the lives of people in their communities.
Thanks to the generous support of Carnegie Corporation of New York, up to 10 librarians will win $5,000 and be honored at an awards ceremony in New York in December, hosted by The New York Times. Winners of the 2010 award will be announced in December.

It would definitely be Marcia at the Tyrone branch. She has been serving us since I was a child. She always goes above and beyond for every patron. She knows almost everyone that visits and makes them feel welcome. You’re the best Marcia!

I would agree. Marcia at the Tyrone Twp. branch is the best librarian around, hands down! Thanks Marcia for all you do!
