Jeffrey Schatzer, author of seven books including The Runaway Garden, will visit two Kent District Library branches on October 22. Children are invited to meet him, hear the story and enjoy book-related crafts.

The Runaway Garden is the 2010 selection for the seventh annual Michigan Reads! One State, One Children’s Book Program, a statewide initiative highlighting the importance of early childhood literacy. Jeffrey Schatzer’s books offer enchanting storylines and positive messages and themes. His books give readers opportunities to learn and grow.

SCHEDULE 
For preschool age children: Friday, October 22, 9:30 am at Byron Township Hall 
For children in grades K-2: Friday, October 22, 2:00 pm at the Kentwood branch

These author visits are presented by the Library of Michigan and generously sponsored by Target and the Library of Michigan Foundation.
