Reading Day with the Griffins is fun for all

On Sunday, March 2 the Kent District Library participated in Reading Day with the Grand Rapids Griffins where hundreds of kids and parents came to enjoy hockey, prizes and fun. Kids dressed up as their favorite storybook characters, spun the prize wheel at the KDL booth, met children’s author Brad Herzog and watched their favorite local hockey team skate to victory.

Our very own Katie L. the elephant strolled the concourse during the game and joined other mascots for a frenzied game of broomball at the second intermission.

Join us next year for another fun-filled Reading Day with the Griffins!
