Updated Catalog Interface…
The LakeNet online catalog just got a makeover! The LakeNet catalog, which is currently shared by all libraries in the Lakeland Library Cooperative, including Kent District Library, has been updated to include a number of enhancements. Among the new enhancements is an automatic “spell check” feature that will try to correct any title or author misspellings, an updated “print record” option for printing full item records, and the ability to store a list of previously checked-out material. This, combined with many of the older features such as the ability to place item holds, add items to your cart, and view more detailed item information, make the LakeNet catalog easier than ever to use!

So, if you haven’t already, check out our LakeNet Catalog today!

I can’t seem to find instructions on how to “store a list of previously checked out material.” Can you help? Thanks

Hi Kathie (and all interested),
Here’s a quick description of how to store a list of previously checked-out materials:
1. Log-In to My Account: http://lakenet.llcoop.org/patroninfo
2. Select the “My Reading History” button in the upper-right of the screen.
3. Select the “Opt In” button (this must be selected in order for the system to store and view your reading history).
After opting in, all subsequently checked-out materials should appear in your list. I hope that helps!

Before the update, if I was searching the catalogue for a particular type of material, I could change keywords without having to enter the material type for each search–that convenience is now gone. bad update!

I really like everything about the update OTHER than still having to log in multiple times. Seems like when I click. on “My Account” and enter the info, that should last until I log out Just had to log in three times while viewing my account and doing a search.

We have brought the multiple login issue up with the Lakeland Library Cooperative (the group that maintains LakeNet). Although we can’t guaranteed an immediate fix, they are currently looking into it. We appreciate your feedback!

Is there any way to get a list of my reading history from before I “Opted In”? Thanks

Unfortunately, you cannot view your reading history prior to the “opt in” period. Privacy regulations prohibit us from storing that information without consent.
We hope you find the new feature useful!
