OverDrive Apps Now Support eBooks
Do you have an iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android device? (Or perhaps have one on your Christmas list?) Our OverDrive downloadable eBook & eAudiobook service just announced that their OverDrive Media Console apps for these mobile devices have been updated to add support for ePub-formatted eBooks, in addition to their previous MP3 eAudiobook capabilities, so you can now download free library eBooks directly to your device!
The improved app also adds a new “Get Books” button to streamline browsing the OverDrive mobile website. Just enter your zip code or search for “Kent District Library” to find our eBooks site, which will then be saved for future visits.
The iPhone app will also work on the iPad, although OverDrive is hard at work on a separate app that will take advantage of the larger screen size. Apps for Blackberry and other mobile devices are also coming soon.
• Download OverDrive Media Console for iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad
• Download OverDrive Media Console for Android (with new eBook support),
Blackberry or Windows Mobile (eAudiobooks only)
