KDL Welcomes New Branch Manager

Kent District Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Minerd as the new Branch Manager of the Byron Township branch. She is responsible for day-to-day operations, programs and services, supervision of support staff, selection and maintenance of the collection, and implementation of policy and procedural changes.

Michelle received her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University.  She has worked for KDL for eight years, the last seven as a Youth Specialist at the East Grand Rapids branch.

“I look forward to working with Byron Township and the library staff to continue the tradition of wonderful library service and programs that the Byron Township library is known for,” Michelle said.

Michelle takes over for Lori Holland, who recently became the Branch Manager of the Wyoming branch.

Please join us in congratulating Michelle on her new position!
