KDL Mobile Site
We are pleased to announce that KDL now has a mobile website. If you have a mobile device with a web browser, go to http://m.kdl.org to see the new site in action. You can view this site on a “normal” computer as well, but it’s really designed for a smaller screen, with mobile-friendly text-only options and menus.
The site offers basic information about our branches and events, as well as a mobile version of the catalog and patron account information. Now you can get the address of a branch, find out what time a KDL program starts or place a book on hold, right in the palm of your hand!

How is this any different than accessing http://www.kdl.org on my mobile? It looks just the same to me. One comment, it’s a little tricky keying in my library card number when requesting a book because it shows **** instead of numbers. It would be nice to see numbers on small devices.

Hi Katherine,
The mobile site at http://m.kdl.org is optimized for a smaller screen and a possibly slower connection, with fewer graphics to slow down loading time, and less need to zoom and scroll to see everything on the page. Feel free to use whatever site is most comfortable for you on your particular device.
Thanks for your suggestion about the barcode number field on the mobile catalog. I’ll pass it on to our catalog software company.

I just have to say that you have one of the best looking sites that I know, except I have wondered why you don’t have a mobile site. Now you’re complete!
