RE: Saving One Cat at a Time
In response to the wonderful discussion generated by the previous post, please note that Crash’s Landing will be bringing live cats to their programs. Patrons with extreme allergies to cats should refrain from attending this program.
For anyone looking for more information about helping needy cats after attending Crash’s Landing’s program:
Most state and county funded animal shelters take in many more cats than are adopted. Therefore, these facilities sometimes have no choice but to euthanize some of the cats that arrive at their doors. That’s why private rescue organizations, like Crash’s Landing, are so important. Below is a list of other no-kill cat rescues and other organizations that help feral cats - it is by no means comprehensive, but may be helpful.
Carol’s Ferals – 616-560-0555
Focus on Ferals – 616-826-0927
Noah Pet Project – located in Muskegon – 231-865-1264
Reuben’s Room – 616-791-9696
Voice of Animals Rescue and Sanctuary – in Newaygo
Thank you to the Kent County Animal Shelter for providing the above information.
