Early Childhood Essentials Day of Learning
Kent District Library presents an Early Childhood Essentials Day of
Learning. Parents, childcare providers, teachers and librarians are invited to get new ideas and network with other parents and childcare workers. This program will help fulfill state-required professional development for childcare workers.
Sessions will focus on:
- Social/Emotional Development for Young Children
- Early Literacy
- Early Math
- Brain Development
- Legislative Advocacy
This full-day workshop will take place from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 26 at the East Grand Rapids branch. The event is sponsored by the Great Start Parent Coalition and the Friends of the East Grand Rapids Library.
Registration is required, and participation is limited. Please call 784-2007 for more information or to register.
If you can’t make it to this program, you have other opportunities to gain valuable information about early childhood education. KDL is hosting several Early Childhood Essentials classes this spring.

Are more workshops going to be scheduled? I see several I am interested in attending as a parent, but either they have already passed or I have a scheduling conflict.
