Celebrate Earth Day!

April 22 is Earth Day and we invite you to celebrate with KDL! Created to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment, Earth Day is a time for us to assess the work still needed to protect the natural gifts of our planet.
There are many simple things you can do to observe Earth Day — avoid the car, volunteer, pick up litter, conserve water. If you’d like to learn more ways to “go green,” then check out our Living Green in West Michigan resource guide. From area food co-ops to local bike path routes, you’re sure to find something useful. For recycling information, check out Recycle Kent.
In celebration of Earth Day, KDL is offering programs that promote Green Living. You still have several opportunities to attend one of our Going Green programs. Also, the Englehardt branch presents Gardening Organically with Victoria Schreur at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 26. This would also be a great time to check out one of our books on green living!
Happy Earth Day!
