Teen Read Week is October 12-18!

teenreadweek-logo.jpgHey, teens! It’s Teen Read Week and this year’s theme is “Books with Bite @ your library!” The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) has put together a printable booklist, so be sure to check out some of their suggestions. The KDL staff also picked some favorites.  Have you read any of these? Let us know which ones were really “books with bite!”

This would also be a great week to see the movie Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, based on the book by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. (They also collaborated on Naomi and Ely’s No-Kiss List.)

So, is anyone out there reading anything particularly great for Teen Read Week? I am currently reading “Brisingr”, which thanks to the dragon theme fits nicely in the books with bite theme for the week. I am also reading Gordon Kormans “Schooled” right now and it is hilarious. I would recommend it to everyone as it is a must read. So what is your Teen Read Week book?

I am currently reading Twilight for the 10th time! It goes along great with the whole “bite theme”, considering it’s about vampires! I would totally recommend Twilight and the rest of the series! [New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn!] They are the BEST BOOKS EVER! A must read!
