Teen Read Week is October 12-18!

teenreadweek-logo.jpgHey, teens! It’s Teen Read Week and this year’s theme is “Books with Bite @ your library!” The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) has put together a printable booklist, so be sure to check out some of their suggestions. The KDL staff also picked some favorites.¬†¬†Have you read any of these? Let us know which ones were really “books with bite!”

This would also be a great week to see the movie Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, based on the book by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. (They also collaborated on Naomi and Ely’s No-Kiss List.)

So, is anyone out there reading anything particularly great for Teen Read Week? I am currently reading “Brisingr”, which thanks to the dragon theme fits nicely in the books with bite theme for the week. I am also reading Gordon Kormans “Schooled” right now and it is hilarious. I would recommend it to everyone as it is a must read. So what is your Teen Read Week book?

I am currently reading Twilight for the 10th time! It goes along great with the whole “bite theme”, considering it’s about vampires! I would totally recommend Twilight and the rest of the series! [New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn!] They are the BEST BOOKS EVER! A must read!
