The Hennen American Library Rating Index, which measures levels of circulation, materials, staffing, reference usage, service, and expenditures per capita, recently rated the Kent District Library eighth nationally among 96 libraries serving a population of more than 250,000. Since 1999 the Hennen American Library Ratings Index has ranked libraries based on a cumulative one-thousand point scale. KDL scored a 755. According to the Hennen Ratings, “Most libraries scored between 260 and 730, so scores above and below those numbers are remarkable”. The ratings were also recently noted in the October issue of American Libraries, a national library publication.
While we appreciate this national recognition, we know we wouldn’t be in this position if it weren’t for the support of our library customers. As such, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our library users for helping to make the Kent District Library one of the best in the nation.
We look forward to serving you!
