I read fiction, rarely nonfiction. At first glance, I assumed Jon Ronson’s The Psychopath Test was simply a clinical view of psychological aberrations. The inclusion of a checklist to identify psychopaths, and his assertion in the press that 1 in 100 people you run into are, in fact, psychopaths was interesting to me. You guessed it, I had someone in mind to check against the list. This book turned out to be much more than that. The fiction I love best delves into characters, showing all sides and beautiful ambiguous shadings of dark and light, good and bad. This book was a great nonfiction fit, and reads like a great story.
