It will be great to see what the county reads.

Just wanted you to know that our elementary school, Cherry Creek, in Lowell will be doing it second year of one book + one school = one community. Last year we read the Mystery on Mackinac Island as a school family. We will celebrate March is Reading Month 2009 with a baseball themed mystery from a series of fun stories. Feel free to contact us for more information about the service learning part of this project.

Michigan Persons, You are hereby ordered and required to attend the state program “One Book, One County,” which is actually an identical statewide program, and is now being officially upgraded and absorbed into the federal “One Book, One Country” program (soon to be upgraded to the “One Book, One World” in our pending absorption into the UN). Failing to attend this mandatory program will result in a fine not to exceed the greater of $3,000 or the amount of the absentee’s pending 2009 Stimulus Package payment; or imprisonment of 12 months or voluntary cerebrial reprogramming in the newly-developed federal retraining camps coming to a region near you. This year’s required selection is the inspiring tome, “The Audacity of Pope: the Obamanation That Causes Desolation.” You will read and enjoy, as this book contains change you will believe in. We will fund what is best for you. You will no longer question the power of government to make you happy. Yes We Can.
