John Updike Dies at Age 76

Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist John Updike passed away Tuesday January 27, 2009 after having been diagnosed with lung cancer.  John Updike published more than 50 books and received numerous literary awards including two Pulitzers and two National Book Awards.  He received much recognition for “The Witches of Eastwick” and the “Rabbit” book quartet which feature ex-high school basketball star Harry “Rabbit” Angstrom.
