How to Download KDL eBooks for Kindle
Our new eBooks for Kindle have certainly been popular! Since the service first went live last week, KDL patrons have already downloaded almost 500 free eBooks for their Kindles or Kindle apps, quickly becoming the second most popular digital format that we offer.
If you haven’t tried out this amazing service yet, it’s a very easy process, as shown in the video demonstration below:
KDL’s free eBook collection at http://ebooks.kdl.org is available 24/7, and since items are “returned” automatically, you’ll never have to worry about late fines!
Don’t have a Kindle? Amazon offers Kindle apps for computers and mobile devices, or you can download ePub-formatted eBooks to a variety of eReaders and mobile devices as well.
Let us know if you’ve tried the new Kindle service and what you thought!

Hi Katelyn,
It sounds like you are going to the MCLS website for ebooks. You will want to make sure that you are going to KDL’s ebook collection at http://ebooks.kdl.org. Here is a link to our downloading instructions for Kindle: http://www.kdl.org/kdl/pdf/eBooksKindle.pdf. I hope this helps!

Hi Amari,
OverDrive is in the midst of making some updates to our eBook site, including how the search function works. It’s possible that you caught them in the middle of making an update, which is why you got this error message. If it keeps happening, please fill out our Support Request Form and we can send it to OverDrive’s tech support team for further troubleshooting tips.
Thanks,
Sheri

Hi Amari,
You must enter information in at least one of the fields in the advanced search screen in order for the search to run. Changing the “All Formats” field to either “All eBooks” or “Kindle Book” should be sufficient for this. If you are still having difficulties, please call our Patron Services Department at 616-784-2007 and a staff member can assist you further.
Thanks,

Know I know how to get to ebooks. What I don’t know is how to get to more teen books on ebooks. Can you help.
January 22nd, 2013 at 12:28 pm
Hi Amari,
If you have suggestions for Teen titles to add to our eBook site, please fill out our Recommend a Purchase form and our librarians will see if they are available for us to buy. (Note that unfortunately, some publishers do not make their titles available for libraries to purchase in eBook format.)
Thanks,
Sheri
