Whether you’re writing a paper for school or trying to establish or expand your business, KDL’s collection of specialized research databases can help you find the information you need. Thanks to the support provided by the Michigan eLibrary (MeL), we’ve recently added subscriptions to the following resources:

Business & Company ASAP
Provides researchers with information on companies, markets and industries. Access business and trade journals, newspapers and company directory profiles with full text and images.


Small Business Resource Center
Search this database to learn how to start, finance or manage your small business. Resources include sample business plans, how to guides, articles and websites.


General Reference Databases: (see all)

Academic OneFile
A comprehensive database for serious academic research. Contains peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world’s leading journals and reference sources. 


A user-friendly general reference tool that delivers a broad collection of periodical and digital media content. Researchers of all ages can find the answers they need from magazines, newspapers, books, maps, images, and audio/video titles.

Nursing Resource Center
Designed for nursing students, the Nursing Resource Center brings together in an easy-to-use interface disease and drug overviews, care plans, relevant journal results and animated anatomy and physiology diagrams.

Lansing State Journal
A daily newspaper serving the Lansing area. Browse or search full text from 2002 to current.


Traverse City Record-Eagle
A daily newspaper serving Traverse City and Northern Michigan. Browse or search full text from 2008 to current.
