Online Book Clubs

Looking for an easier way to communicate with your book club?  Try the new site Booksprouts.com.  Booksprouts was created to allow book clubs a way to organize their selections and discussions. It is very easy to “Create A Club.”  Click on the link at the top of the Booksprouts.com site.  You will be prompted to select a name for you club, which is the only required field.  You can also put in your country, state, zip code and whether anyone can join the group or if it is by invite only.  If you are not already a registered member, you will need to register at that time.

Once you have setup a Book club page, your members can be invited or join.  There are options for voting on a book to read next as well as a list showing what has already been read.  The site is still in Beta which means there will be changes made to the site.  They request feedback so if you decide to give it a try, make sure to let them know about things you like and what you would change.

If you already have an online book club, what site do you use?

I use bookbundlz.com, but just started using it. I also have an account with shelfari.com but only use it to keep track of what I’ve read and what I want to read. So far, I like the book discussion format of bookbundlz better but the actual layout of shelfari is more appealing.
