There were some great books published this year, but I have two personal favorites.
Okay For Now by Gary Schmidt. Gary is a local author and one of the best YA authors anywhere right now. I wouldn’t be at all shocked if this book wins or is at least nominated for the Newbery, Printz, or Thumbs Up awards.
11/22/63 by Stephen King is my other favorite. I have long been a huge fan of Kings and this time traveling epic revolving around the Kennedy assassination is one of the best to date!
