Meet the Michigan Author: Roger Meyer

If you miss meeting this Michigan author, well, that’s just scary.

Kentwood author Roger Meyer will visit the Cascade Township branch at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 19 to read from, talk about and sign and sell copies of his writing.

Meyer’s accounts of folklore-type ghost stories are featured in his book Ghostly Tales of Lake Huron. The retired aerospace engineer also is author of Ghostly Tales of the Connecticut Shoreline, published in February, and Ghostly Tales of the Manistee National Forest, due out this summer.

Meyer’s articles and photographs have been published in some 70 magazines, on a variety of topics ranging from wildflowers to wilderness survival to weather prediciton. He shares a humorous bit of advice for aspiring non-fiction authors at http://www.grwriters.org/Rogers_Maxims.htm.

Meyer’s appearance is part of KDL’s Celebrate the Mitten author series, which includes more than a dozen published authors from around the state appearing at various branches through May, and an author showcase from 1:00 to 4:00 PM April 21 at the Kentwood branch.
