Meet the Michigan Author: Lisa Orchard

A small Michigan town plus a few plucky teens with spy sensibilities equals a riveting YA mystery!

Rockford author Lisa Orchard will be at the Krause Memorial branch at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 12 to read from her debut novel, The Super Spies and the Cat Lady Killer, a suspenseful thriller about young girls and the choices they make. The setting of the book is Harrisburg, a small town in Michigan, much like the town where Orchard grew up. Many of her characters’ adventures stem from her own exploits as a young teen. She’s working on a second novel that stars the same quirky teens, and hopes to turn Super Spies into a series.

Orchard’s appearance is part of KDL’s Celebrate the Mitten author series, which includes more than a dozen published authors from around the state appearing at various branches from March through May.
